Elie Saab

Elie Saab is a Lebanese fashion designer with a successful career. He launched his label at the age of 18. Unlike other fashion designers, he is just self-trained. In 1981 he decided to move to Paris to study fashion but then he came back to Lebanon and opened his first workshop there. In 1997 he showed his collection for the first time outside Lebanon, in Rome. Surprisingly he became the member of the Italian Camera Nazionale della Moda although he is not Italian. His talent in fashion made him the first Lebanese designer that dressed an Oscar winner, Halle Berry. The Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture invited him to become a member in 2003. In this way he became popular also in Paris. Now he has workshops in Beirut, Paris and London. And he continues to create magnificent designs.

Backstage Excitement

Backstage is a different world. When you get into the room before show, the atmosphere takes you over. There are beautiful models preparing for the show and brand-new creations that inspires you.Being there, smelling the atmosphere is a feeling that makes you nervous but on the other hand, excited. After the preparations, models strike poses around them and try to imagine themselves on runway. It's the preparation of the mood. Then music starts. When you feel the beats in your heart, you realize that you are ready for show. And you step to runway, all eyes are on you. Show time!

Fashion Icons

Fashion is a way of express the inner world of a person. As our feelings change, fashion changes, as well. This change is influenced by some people. They are called fashion icons. There are many fashion icons all over the world. One of them is Michelle Obama. Becaue she is the wife of Obama, all eyes are on her and this social status pushes her to be an icon. She has a sound and pleasant style.
Another fashion icon is Kate Moss. She is one of the most successful models in the world. She worked for many companies and labels and she still does. This successful career pushes her to be an icon. Because of her job fashion is a big part of her life already and so she is kind of an alive hanger. She has a smart casual style.
The last fashion icon that i want to tell about is Rachel Zoe. She is a fashion stylist. She's worked with many celebrities like Brenda Song, Liv Tyler, Anne Hathaway, Cameron Diaz, Backstreet Boys although she hasn't trained in fashion. Before she started this job, she was already known for her bohemian-inspired look. Her style, as a result, made her an icon.

Live Fast Die Young

Everyone has their own view of life. Some like to live slow and try not to die till both body and soul ruin, some like to live fast, die young.  Some can’t choose the time of death, some can... Some have  courage to end life even having so many things and people to lose.  Lee Alexander McQueen was one of them.  He had a successful life. He was born on March 17, 1969 into a working-class family. At the age 16 he dropped out of school and found a job as a tailor. In time he improved his skills and got into Central Saint Martin's College of Art & Design. After graduated he worked for many companies and then created his own brand. He won many awards In 2003, he was declared International Designer of theYear by the Council of Fashion Designers of America and A Most Excellent Commander of the British Empire by the Queen of England, and won yet another British Designer of the Year honor. Meanwhile, McQueen opened stores in New York, Milan and London. While his career was going good, his personal life wasn’t. On February 2, 2010, McQueen's mother died. One day before her funeral, he was found dead in his apartment. The cause of death was determined to be suicide. He died but his brand still lives on and his bold styles and fascinating shows will never be forgotten... 

Angels of Runway

When one says 'Angels of Runway' the first thing that comes to mind is Victoria's Secret Angels. Undisputedly Victoria's Secret Fashion Show is the most famous and glorious show ever. What makes it become that famous? The answer is of course the gorgeous models and the creative minds behind the scenes. The latest show was carried out in November with successful performers Bruno Mars, Rihanna and Justin Bieber. And all charming models were on runway with impressive lingeries shouting like 'I am here!'

Here is the question. How can a person be sexy? Some say it's about self-confidence, some say it comes naturally. I agree with both. If you are just yourself and behave in a natural way, you feel sexy. Don't care people around you whether they think you are sexy or not, it's more important how you feel. That's the point, feeling...

Alive

If you ask me what brought me here...well, it was a must do. There are too many 'musts' in our lives. Too many musts that shape our future...What we MUST do is to take control and go for our aims. My aim is to be a fashion designer. It's actually a dream for now. But who knows, maybe I'll be more than what I am now. Looking alive is not enough, we should FEEL alive.
